LiigaData is an open statistics and analytics site. There are no user accounts, and the site does not collect personal data about visitors such as names or precise locations. Personal data arises only if you contact the site by email — see “Contacting the site by email” below.
This page describes what technical information is generated when you use the site and how it is handled.
Data controller and contact details
The site is run by a private individual as a hobby project. Questions about this policy or about the processing of personal data can be sent to:

Visitor analytics
The site uses Vercel Web Analytics for visitor metrics and Vercel Speed Insights for performance metrics. They collect anonymous, aggregated information: page views, page load performance, and general details about the browser, device type and country. A small number of usage events is also measured, such as switching a tab or season, expanding a card, and using the quick search. An event carries only a categorical value (for example the kind of tab or card) — never a search term, a player or team name, or any other text you enter.
The measurement is cookieless: it sets no tracking cookies, builds no persistent identifier for a visitor, and does not follow visitors across other sites. The data is processed by Vercel Inc. on behalf of the site operator, is retained on Vercel's platform for a limited period according to the service plan, and is not shared with anyone else.
Cookies and browser storage
The site sets two functional cookies: your language choice (NEXT_LOCALE), which is kept for a year, and a short-lived session cookie (locale_auto) that tells the site the language was picked automatically, so it can offer a link back to Finnish. No advertising or tracking cookies are used.
In addition, interface preferences — such as the theme, the selected season, table row density and collapsed cards — are stored in your browser's own storage (localStorage). These values stay in your browser and are never sent anywhere.
Automatic language selection
When you arrive on the site for the first time, it picks a language based on the language setting your browser sends (Accept-Language). That choice is refined with the country code derived by the service that routes the request (for example ”FI”), so that a visitor on a Finnish IP address is not sent to the English pages because of an English-language browser.
The country code is coarse, it is read as the request is handled, and it is not stored, linked to you, or used for anything other than this language choice. No precise location is derived. You can change the language at any time from the menu; your choice is then stored in the language cookie and overrides the automatic selection.
Server logs
The site runs on the Vercel and Render cloud platforms. The platforms may record technical log data about requests (such as the IP address) to keep the service running, to debug problems and to ensure security. Logs are retained for a limited period according to the platforms' own policies, and the site operator does not link them to individual visitors.
Contacting the site by email
When you send email, the message creates personal data: the sender's email address, the content of the message and any name in the signature.
This information is used only to reply to the message and to look into the matter it raises. The basis for processing is legitimate interest: it must be possible to answer someone who gets in touch. Messages are not used for marketing, are not passed on to anyone else, and are not compiled into a separate register.
Email runs on Google Workspace, so Google Ireland Limited processes the messages on behalf of the site operator. Messages are kept for as long as handling the matter — and possibly returning to it — requires, and are deleted afterwards.
Your rights
You have the right to request access to the data concerning you, to have it corrected or erased, and to object to its processing. Requests can be sent to the address above.
If you believe your data has been processed contrary to data protection law, you may lodge a complaint with the Office of the Data Protection Ombudsman in Finland.
Changes
This policy is updated if the information the site collects changes. The most current version is always on this page.
